These IDC cable sockets accept 26 AWG and 28 AWG solid and stranded 1.27 mm pitch flat ribbon cable or discrete wire. The use of IDC contacts eliminates the need for prior cable preparation and stripping and provides a quick and simple interconnection system for mass termination. The contacts are made from beryllium copper which has a high resistance to corrosion, good wear resistance and better electrical conductivity than brass or bronze. The housings of these 3000 series IDC sockets feature dual slot military polarization to aid accurate mating with the header connector. The design of these 3000 series IDC sockets sets the standard for MIL spec and IEC standardization. These 3000 series ribbon cable sockets feature positive locking metal 'J' clips that ensure the cover of the connector is securely retained. The covers have a transfer adhesive on them that holds the cover onto the ribbon cable for precise alignment between the connector and the cables. D3000 series PCB through hole mounting wire to board headers with a double row of square pins in a 2.54 x 2.54 mm pitch. These D3000 series headers are fully shrouded to protect the contacts from damage and have mounting holes for a secure the connection to the PCB. The ejection latches of these D3000 series PCB headers provide a secure connection to the mating connector and allow easy removal when needed. The design of the ejection latches features roll-pins for increased retention in high vibration applications and to prevent breakage during ejection. Ejection latches are either supplied with the header or require purchasing separately. These D3000 series shrouded PCB headers incorporate a cut-out in the housing to accommodate mating connectors with centre bump polarisation. Extra polarisation slots are also provided to enable quick connection and to minimise misalignment. Military polarisation can also be achieved by using a polarisation key (3M part number N3518). Versions of these headers are available with housings made from high temperature PCT thermoplastic making them suitable for lead-free solder processing up to 260°C (JEDEC J-STD-020C). Available as right angle or vertical mounting and with various contact numbers these D3000 series headers offer a versatile solution for your wire to board requirements.

2500 series 2.54 x 2.54mm four-wall shrouded PCB headers with a low profile, space saving design available in SMT, through hole, straight and right angle PCB mounting configurations. These 2.54mm 2500 series PCB headers have centre slot polarization to facilitate accurate insertion and dual slot polarization making the connector compatible with other competitive polarization designs. 3000 series cable mount industry standard IDC ribbon cable socket connectors with a 2.54 x 2.54 mm pitch. These IDC cable sockets accept 26 AWG and 28 AWG solid and stranded 1.27 mm pitch flat ribbon cable or discrete wire. The use of IDC contacts eliminates the need for prior cable preparation and stripping and provides a quick and simple interconnection system for mass termination. The contacts are made from beryllium copper which has a high resistance to corrosion, good wear resistance and better electrical conductivity than brass or bronze. The housings of these 3000 series IDC sockets feature dual slot military polarization to aid accurate mating with the header connector. The design of these 3000 series IDC sockets sets the standard for MIL spec and IEC standardization. These 3000 series ribbon cable sockets feature positive locking metal 'J' clips that ensure the cover of the connector is securely retained. The covers have a transfer adhesive on them that holds the cover onto the ribbon cable for precise alignment between the connector and the cables. This feature also results helps with the production of high yield terminations. A pull tab is available separately which is attached to the socket using a strip of adhesive. The pull tab is used to reduce stress on the cable terminations when the socket connector is unplugged from the mated header.
