RS PRO A2 Stainless Steel Dome Nuts
From the trusted RS PRO brand, these dome nuts are ideal for applications where it is desired to hide or cover the end of a projecting screw thread. The dome shape can eliminate the possibility of snagging edges, which is ideal for capping off flexible threaded rods. The dome has a hexagon flange which is ideal for both hand and tool tightening for the application of appropriate torque. This flange also may eliminate the need for a washer to distribute the pressure of the nut.
The RS Pro dome nuts are made using a type 304 Stainless Steel meeting the requirements of DIN1587. The dome nuts are metric threaded and are highly corrosion resistant. It makes these dome nuts useful in many applications from architecture, petrochemical, mineral processing and other industries.

Applications
Dome nuts, sometimes called acorn nuts, are a versatile fastener used for aesthetic and practical reasons wherever a bare screw thread is a concern. Unlike using standard nut fixings, a dome nut completely covers the end of a screw. As such, it can be used in lieu of, or on top of, fastening nuts. These domed nuts can be used to cap threaded bars or make sure a surface is snag-free.
